Treetop Adventures

If you’re looking for a brand new challenge and you like the woods and ropes, you might want to head to Treetop Adventures at Mountain Lake Lodge and Conservancy.

Virginia’s newest ropes adventure course is located in the forest canopy at Mountain Lake. Mountain Lake Treetop Adventures is a fun way to get outside, challenge yourself, and experience the exhilaration of climbing through the tree canopy and riding zip lines through the forest.  Sky bridges, swings, rope ladders and zip lines offer a range of challenges that are fun for both the novice, the super adventure seeker and everyone in between!

We offer a kids course and two adult courses, all varying in height and challenge levels.  The higher you get in the trees, the more thrilling and challenging it becomes!  Mountain Lake Treetop Adventures uses the latest and best safety equipment available.

Mountain Lake Treetop Adventures is fun for individuals and is also great for groups to do together and share the fun.  Special programs can be arranged as a team building experience. Please contact us in advance to confirm operating hours and to make a reservation at call 540-626-7121.

What is an aerial adventure course?

Aerial forest adventure parks have been used in Europe for about 20 years but are new in the United States.  We are thrilled to bring you the first aerial adventure course in the New River Valley! Mountain Lake Treetop Adventures is an aerial ropes course built among a mixed hemlock, birch and oak forest. It consists of 3 separate, elevated courses for different ability levels and has over 30 elements that will challenge you to new heights.  Treetop Adventures will create lasting memories for the whole family!

Each course varies in terms of elevation and the strenuousness of the challenges. Elements include rope bridges, ladders, zip lines and more. We offer the latest and safest belay and harness technology. Once you go through the training, you are able to navigate the course self-guided – which we think makes it a lot more fun.
